We are very excited to hear of your interest in Eastern Volleyball. Below you will find some basic information about Eastern and the Volleyball Program and ways for you to begin the recruiting process.

The Eastern University Athletic Department competes as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and all varsity teams participate in Division III.  Within that organization, Eastern has been a 15-year member of the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC).  In the fall of 2008, Eastern University athletics will be making a transition from the PAC to the historic Freedom Division of the Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Corporation (MAC). MAC Champions earn an automatic berth into the NCAA tournament.

Eastern Volleyball

As a member of the Eastern Volleyball program, you will not only be joining a very successful team, but an established and reputable program.  Eastern has proven the ability to contend and win against some of the best NCAA DIII volleyball programs in the country for nearly a decade and our commitment to playing those teams will continue.  Our program has enjoyed 10 National Tournament appearances advancing five times to the NCAA "Sweet Sixteen".  Eastern also dominated it's time in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference having won ten consecutive championships and accumulated over 100 straight victories. 

Our tradition of success is based on hard work and a commitment to a Core Covenant which challenges our players to positively and genuinely interact as well as develop pride in our system.  We believe if hard work, team chemistry and pride develop, than success, in varying fashions, will follow.

We want to learn about you. Please take the time to fill out our player Questionnaire. This will allow our staff to get to know your athletic and academic profile. We encourage you to also send a highlight DVD/video, newspaper clippings, and especially a schedule of your upcoming games and tournaments. Although we recognize that not every player has the ability to play at the collegiate level, we look forward to getting to know you so that we can determine the impact you will have in our program.

Eastern University.

Eastern University is a small, private, Christian liberal arts University located in beautiful suburban Philadelphia (25 minutes outside of the city). Eastern University emphasizes strong academics with 90% of their professors having a terminal degree (highest-level education) in their particular academic discipline while maintaining a small classroom setting (15:1 student to teacher ratio). Eastern puts an equal emphasis on Christian values inside and outside of the classroom. Last year, 98% of the graduating class gained employment or went on for their Master’s within the first six months of graduating.
