Men's Tennis Falls At FDU-Florham

MADISON, N.J.--Eastern Men's Tennis fell to 6-7 this season and 0-4 in the conference with an 8-1 loss to the FDU-Florham Devils on Saturday.

Eastern dropped the first two doubles matches 8-5. Eastern's third doubles of Herschel Dube and Codie Todd trailed 7-1, but rallied to tie the match at 7-7. However, Dube and Todd were defeated 9-7.

Senior Tyler Hoagland earned Eastern's only win of the match. Hoagland defeated FDU-Florham's AJ Warden 7-6 in the first set, winning the tiebreaker 7-3. Hoagland controlled the second set 6-3.

Mylon Weaver came the closest to earning another win for the Eagles, but Weaver lost 7-5, 6-4.

Eastern has two matches remaining in the season; they play at Arcadia on Tuesday at 3:30 pm and at Misericordia at 1 pm on Saturday.
