Eagles Stopped by Cougars in Dallas

Martha Dietz picked up the Eagles only win on the afternoon.
The Eagles struggled out of the gates in their doubles matches, and the host Cougars took advantage and seized control of the match with all three points. Once singles play started, the Eagles put together some solid tennis. Jenna Laubach battled at the top spot. The Eastern rookie fell 7-6 in the opening set before giving way 6-2 in the second set.
Julie Hasselback had a match point in the super-tiebreaker of her match at third singles before falling 11-9. Dietz picked up the win with consistent shot-making.
The Eagles will make another trip up the Northeast Extension for a Freedom Conference Semifinal match against top-seeded Wilkes University on Tuesday. The winner of that match will take on the winner of King's and Misericordia.
