Renauro Named 2nd Team All-Freedom

Scott Renauro turns a double play in his final home game. Renauro and fellow senior André Butler were both four year starters in the Eastern program.
In his senior campaign, Renauro, who also earned All-Freedom recognition as a shortstop his sophomore year, led the Eagles to a second 20 win season in his four year career. After missing games early in the season, Renauro became a regular fixture at second base and in the second spot in the line-up.
Renauro got off to a sluggish start at the plate with a 2-for-15 beginning, but he hit .346 over his final 29 games. His seven sacrifice flies were tops on the team. An indication of Renauro's commitment to winning games, four innings after hitting a three-run home run against Manhattanville, he laid down a perfect sacrifice bunt to move a pair of runners into scoring position.
Renauro is Eastern's career leader in hits (162), runs (115), and RBIs (109). He is second all time with 11 home runs.
