Hoagland Named To Conference 2nd Team

ImageANNVILLE, Pa.--The Middle Atlantic Conference released its All-Conference selections Monday and named Eastern's Tyler Hoagland (Merritt Island, Fla./ Holy Trinity Episcopal) to the Freedom Conference second team.

Hoagland, a senior, began the fall season as Eastern's No. 3, but moved up to Eastern's No. 1 spot in the spring. In singles play, Hoagland finished 7-4 in the spring and 8-6 overall. In doubles play, Hoagland finished an even 7-7 on the year. Hoagland was a double winner in six matches this season.

Hoagland's head coach Mark Spangler said that this year was the best of Hoagland's career. Spangler gave Hoagland the team MVP award this season. "He's an all-around solid kid, a great teammate and a good example to the other players."
