Fair Earns Inquirer Academic Honor
Janelle Fair finished second on the team in runs scored.
Fair was one of 12 players recognized. The junior led her team with 15 wins and earned Freedom Conference Pitcher of the Year recognition. The Eagles reached the Freedom Championship Tournament for the first time since joining the MAC in 2007-'08.
Fair, a Youth Ministries major, has a 3.85 GPA and is an active member of Eastern Campus in several leadership and service roles. One of two Eagles to earn 1st Team All-Freedom Honors, Fair finished the season with a 2.30 ERA and a stellar 134 strikeouts to only 17 walks in nearly 165 innings pitched.
In addition to her work in the circle, Fair was a constant threat at the plate as well. The Manheim, Pa. native, led the Eagles with 52 hits.
Rowan University's Nicolina Veneziano was selected as the area performer of the year.
