Eagles Outlast Field at Pocono Manor

Lauren Capoferri shot a team-best 94 in her first collegiate round to lead the Eagles to a win on the Pocono Manor East Course.
The East Course at Pocono Manor was built in 1902 and plays to nearly 6,000 yards for the women. With seven par 5's and multiple elevation changes, the course provided a tough challenge both mentally and physically. Sophomore Kaleigh Boreman, the team veteran, shot an even 100 and Bianca Scrimali finished with a 102.
The team's 415 total was enough to finish ahead of Ursinus College and Millersville University in the team scoring.
"I'm proud of our team's performance today," Head Coach Nate Davis related, "I felt we did a good job keeping our composure on a tough course. I really like the work ethic and attitudes of the golfers on this team."
The Eagles, who have five meets with a little bit shorter roster this fall, are back in action on Monday at Alvernia, where they will have a chance to see the MAC Champion hosts.
