Lauren Capoferri led the Eagles with a 100 at Reading Country Club.

READING, Pa.- After picking up a win in their first meet of the year last week, Eastern University Women's Golf took a small step backward with an eighth place finish at the Alvernia Fall Invitational at Reading Country Club. Lauren Capoferri posted a 25th place 100 to lead Eastern to a 452 finish.

With two top returners playing other fall sports, the Eagles struggled on the 5800 yard track. Each of the Eagles' four scoring players were plagued by a bad hole or two that undid steady play through the round. Capoferri got in trouble with a nine on the 16th hole, and Kaleigh Boreman started her back nine with an eight on the 154 yard 10th hole on the way to a 101.

Kutztown University won the meet with an impressive 335 total.

The Eagles, with many of their players in their first season of collegiate competitiion, return to action this weekend at McDaniel.
