Three Eagles Honored by AVCA

Kearby Benak earns her second Mid-Atlantic All-Region Honor. The Freedom Conference Player of the Year averaged nearly 4 kills per set.
Benak, a junior outside hitter from Houston, Texas, leads the No. 21 Eagles with 373 kills on the season. She is ranked in the top-25 nationally in kills per set, and is a highly respected passer and defensive player. Benak is second on the Eastern squad with 308 digs. Benak is 16 digs short of 1000 for her career. Benak earned All-Region honors last season as well.
Pisch is ranked fourth nationally in hitting percentage. Her presence in the middle has provided steady and efficient offense for the Eastern attack. She has double-figure kills in eleven matches so far, and she is second on the Eastern roster with 53 total blocks.
Groff, a senior libero, earns Honorable Mention for the second time in her career. She is Eastern's career leader in total digs with 1957. Her passing excellence and defensive instincts help the Eagles to stay in system and score in transition. Groff registered 38 digs in a match against Stevenson this year.
The Eagles travel to Salisbury University for NCAA Tournament action which starts tomorrow. They face Baruch College in at 3 pm.
