Rittenhouse & Doutrich Earn Academic Honor

Kelsey Doutrich and Katelyn Rittenhouse were named Academic All-Area performers. Both earned First Team All-Freedom Conference Honors as well.
It is the second year Doutrich, a senior midfielder and Math major, earned recognition. She finished her career with 48 goals and twice earned NSCAA All-Region honors. The three-time All-Freedom selection scored nine times and added four assists in her senior campaign. She is fifth on Eastern's career list in both goals and points (109). Doutrich has completed nearly all of her course work and carries a 3.81 GPA.
Rittenhouse has also earned All-Region honors twice in her career. The senior center back missed nearly all of her sophomre and junior seasons with injuries, but returned to health for her senior year. She assumed a leadership role in the back line and led the team in minutes played. She will graduate this Saturday as a Biochemistry major. She had a 3.94 GPA entering her final semester. In addition to her work in the classroom, Rittenhouse has been involved in multiple research projects and is active as a writing center tutor as well.
Rittenhouse, who intends to go to medical school, also earned CoSIDA Academic All-District recognition.
Eastern Women's Soccer has had the highest team GPA of any Eastern team over the past four years.
Eastern joins Drexel and Haverford as the only schools to have two representatives on the team. Drexel goalkeeper Eve Badana was selected as the Area's Performer of the Year.
