Eagles Ousted By Mules

ALLENTOWN, Pa.--Eastern Women's Lacrosse scored first in Saturday's game against Muhlenberg College and held onto a 4-4 tie 12 minutes into the game. However, from that point on, Muhlenberg outscored Eastern 15-1, giving the Mules the 19-5 victory.

Eastern's Julia Furniss and Victoria Graham each scored twice in the loss. Emmy Fisher also scored for the Eagles.

The Mules put 25 shots on goal to 10 shots on goal for the Eagles. The Mules also dominated the draw control category 21-5.

The Eagles picked up the game's first goal when Julia Furniss was fouled and earned a free position shot with 27:35 left in the first half. The Mules then scored thirty-three seconds after the resulting draw control.

Three minutes later Emmy Fisher made a successful free position shot to put Eastern up 2-1. After Muhlenberg tied the game, Furniss scored her second goal of the game to Eastern back up top with 21:07 go in the half. Again, the Mules scored immediately after the ensuing draw control, tying the game at 20:55.

Victoria Graham scored her second goal of the game with 18:35 left in the half on another free position shot. Muhlenberg then scored five unanswered goals over the next six minutes. Graham put Eastern within three with a goal at 11:33. That however was the last goal of the game for the Eagles as the Mules went on to score 11 more goals.
