Eagles Stumble 7-2 Against Nittany Lions

Tyler Schultz earned a three set win on Wednesday.

ABINGTON, Pa.--Eastern Men's Tennis fell to 3-2 on the season with a 7-2 loss at the hands of PSU-Abington on Wednesday afternoon.

Grant Williams and Tyler Schultz earned the two wins for Eastern. Williams took his first set 7-6 with a 7-3 tiebreaker game win and won his second set 6-4. Schultz dropped his first set 7-5, took the second set with a 7-5 tiebreaker win, and won the third set with a 10-6 super tiebreaker.

Eastern's doubles' squads fell 8-5, 8-5, 8-0.

Eastern's Dan Fowler, who plays No. 1 singles, was tabbed with his first singles' loss of the season. He was beat by PSU-Abington's Nigel Hopkinson 6-1, 6-2.

The Eagles host Wilkes on Saturday at noon.
