Women's Tennis Blanked By Wilkes

ST. DAVIDS, Pa.--Eastern Women's Tennis ran into Wilkes University and ended up on the wrong side of a 9-0 loss to last season's conference champions on Saturday.

The Wilkes Colonels shut out the Eagles in doubles play, winning each match by a score of 8-0.

Eastern's No. 6 Nicole Filipek provided the closest match, but fell 6-2, 6-4.

The Eagles play at Arcadia for a 2:30 p.m. conference match on Tuesday.
