Men's Golf News & Highlights

ImageHARRISBURG, Pa.- In its final test before the Freedom Conference Championships this weekend, Eastern University Golf finished 13th at the very competitive Messiah College invitational. The Eagles travelled without three of their top five and finished with a 355.

After a tough day yesterday, Logan Maurer posted a solid seven-over 79 on the 6,615 yard course. He had just one birdie- a four on the 510 yard 14th- and had no doubles. He played the four par-fives at one-under. 

Ryan Torresin was one of ten golfers in the field to finish with a 78. The Eastern freshman doubled the short par five fifth and scuffled to a 42 on the outward nine. He shot level par on the inward nine. 

Kevin Andersen and Glen Westerlund jumped into the line-up today and shot a 96 and a 102.

Stevenson University posted a stellar 298 to finish ahead of the field. The Eagles play for the Freedom Conference Championship this weekend at Hershey Country Club.
