For the first time, Eastern Baseball had three players selected to the Freedom All-Conference teams.

ANNEVILLE, Pa.--The Middle Atlantic Conferences released the 2013 All-Conference teams for baseball on Thursday.

Eastern's top three-RBI leaders received All-Conference recognition: Greg DeSarro (BEthlehem, Pa./ Bethlehem Catholic), Eric Rossi (Malvern, Pa./ Conestoga) and Tyler Orr (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy). DeSarro and Rossi were named to the first team while Orr was recognized on the second team.

Rossi led the Eagles with a .402 batting average, sixth best in the conference. Rossi, selected as a utility player, played left field, right field, catcher, and designated hitter. He led the Eagles in doubles (14) and slugging percentage (.624). Rossi had a hit in all but seven games this season.

DeSarro earned first team honors as a catcher. The senior headlined Eastern's offense with 33 RBIs and a team best 50 hits. His 50 hits were fourth best in the conference. DeSarro finished with a .370 batting average.

After four years as an Eagle, DeSarro made his mark on Eastern's career record book, finishing first all-time in hits (161), second in RBIs (92), and tied for fourth in batting average (.368).

Junior Tyler Orr earned second-team all-conference honors after emerging this season as a premiere power hitter and outfielder in the league. After appearing in 20 games and receiving 41 at-bats in 2012, Orr quickly earned a starting role in 2013. Orr batted .322 this season with 30 RBIs and seven home runs. His seven home runs are the second most in a single season at Eastern and third best in the conference this year. Orr also gunned down six baserunners from the outfield.

The Eagles finished 18-18 this season.
