LEBANON, Pa.--Both Eastern's men's and women's cross country teams took fourth place overall in Saturday's Dutchmen Invitational at Union Canal Tunnel Park.

Eastern junior Josey Rupert scorched the course with an 18:44.16 time, coming in second place overall. Teammate Adrienne Borrelli crossed the finish line about a minute later, coming in eighth place with a time of 19:41.97. Top 45 finishes from Steph Hogan, Katrina Schmid, and Alyssa Schock helped Eastern take fourth.

In the men's race, the Eagles had three of the top 20 runners. Freshman Jon Combies crossed the finish line a half-second in front of senior Colin Gordon. Combies finished 14th overall with a 28:11.45 while Gordon crossed at 28:11.96, coming in 15th place. Gordon ran virtually a minute faster this week than last week. Combies cut his time by more than 2 1/2 minutes.

Sophomore Nick Trombley finished 18th overall with a time of 28:23.12.

The Eagles take next weekend off before racing at Messiah on Sept. 21 at 10 a.m.
