ROYERSFORD, Pa.--Eastern Women's Golf earned its first trophy under head coach Jason Badecki, taking first place at Raven's Claw Golf Club on Tuesday.

The Eagles climbed to the top of the 10-team field that featured five MAC opponents and finished with a 376 overall. The Eagles finished one stroke ahead of the second-place team, Franklin & Marshall College.

Freshman Taylor Lee led the Eagles with an 88, sixth best overall on Wednesday. Junior Kaleigh Boreman finished in tenth place with a 93 and sophomore Bianca Scrimali was right behind her with a 94. Freshman Sarah Hart came in 18th with a 101.

Coach Badecki saw significant improvement since the Eagles' last tournament. He said that Lee, a freshman, will continue to get even better as her confidence develops. Lee birdied the par-4 18th hole after landing her pitch shot six feet from the hole and then finishing the downhill putt.

Badecki said that Boreman had been improving her short game during the week and nailed a 10-yard putt to birdie the 4th hole.

The Eagles will tee off at the Gettysburg Invitational on Oct. 8.
