Eagles Start Season With Win Over Falcons

Freshman Megan Klosterman won both her singles and doubles matches on Monday night in her first collegiate matches.

ST. DAVIDS, Pa.--Eastern Women's Tennis started the 2013-2014 season with a 7-2 victory over Cedar Crest College on Monday evening.

Cedar Crest's late arrival pushed the match start back from 3:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. All matches were played in pro-sets (first to win eight games) and two matches were played on Valley Forge Military's courts in order to complete the matches before sunset.

Eastern's Jenna Laubach, Megan Klosterman and Nicole Filipek earned double wins. Klosterman, a freshman won her first collegiate matches today. She took her No. 2 singles match 8-5. Laura Thoma, another Eastern freshman won her first collegiate match with a win at No. 5 singles.\

The Eagles host Neumann University on Thursday.
