LEXINGTON, Ky.—The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced the 33rd annual All-America teams on Tuesday.

Eastern University sophomore setter Rikki Schlager and freshman libero Rylie Haas earned Second-Team All-America Honors, middle hitter Katrina Pisch earned Third-Team All-America Honors and senior Kearby Benak was named All-America Honorable Mention.

In Eastern’s history, this is the first time that a team has had four players receive All-American honors. Haas is also only the third freshman from Eastern to be named to an All-America team (Courtney Reinhold and Maria Horning in 2008 were the other two).

Haas (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom), as a freshman, broke the school record for digs in a season. She currently has 609 digs. Haas is the only libero on the three All-America teams.

Schlager (Lititz, Pa./ Manheim Township) distributed 1,331 assists this season. Her 11.5 assists per game are fourth-best in the nation. Together, Haas and Schlager’s passing and distributing has helped Eastern hit .285 this season, which is good for third best in the country.

Pisch (Blue Bell, Pa./ Merion Mercy) is hitting .430 this season and was ranked second nationally with that percentage. Pisch also has 277 kills and 58 blocks this season. Pisch earned All-America Honorable Mention status last season.

Benak (Houston, Texas/Langham Creek) leads the Eagles with 312 kills and is second on the team with 329 digs. Benak is hitting .258 for the season and also has a team-best 51 aces. She also earned All-America Honorable Mention honors in 2011 and 2012.

The Eagles (32-4) will compete in the National Quarterfinals on Thursday against Emory University at 12:30 p.m. in Holland, Mich.
