Nowak Earns Player of the Week Honors

Meghan Nowak helped the Eagles to a pair of wins with 19 points and 15.5 rebounds per game.per game

ANNVILLE, Pa.—Junior forward Meghan Nowak earned Freedom Conference Player of the Week Honors for the week of Dec. 2-8 after helping lead the Eagles to two conference wins.

The Eagles took care of Manhattanville College on Wednesday night 79-51 and then Delaware Valley College on Saturday 85-65. Nowak helped the Eagles build a 43-point second half lead against Manhattanville thanks to her 22 point, 17 rebound performance in 28 minutes of play.

Nowak shot 10-for-15 from the floor (66.7 percent).

On Saturday, Nowak shot 6-for-12 from the floor to finish with 16 points. She also pulled down 14 rebounds and blocked three shots.

Eastern improved to 4-4, 2-2 Freedom with the wins. The Eagles next game is in Orlando, Fla. on Dec. 20 against Hope College.
