Rupert Honored By MAC

ANNVILLE, Pa.--Josey Rupert of Eastern University Cross Country was honored by the Middle Atlantic Conference on Thursday for her success as a student-athlete.

By being named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Academic All-Conference Team, Rupert was recognized as one of the top eight cross country student-athletes from the 18 MAC schools. Rupert received a similar honor last week as one of the top student-athletes in the Philadelphia-area.

Rupert, a junior, has maintained a 3.84 GPA while studying exercise science. Rupert has consistently performed as Eastern's lead runner the past two seasons and holds the school record for the 6K.

Joining Rupert on the MAC Academic All-Conference Team are Jessica Visneksi from Messiah, Kelsey Patrick form Lebanon Valley, Jessica Curry and Cara Guth from DeSales, and from Elizabethtown, Amelia Tearnan, Traci Tempone, and Megan Tursi.
