Kasey Williams ripped this pitch through the outfield fence for a ground-rule double.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.--Eastern Softball finished a rainy Wednesday of competition on both the winning and losing sides of mercy-rule games.

Eastern started the day with an 11-2 beatdown of Iowa Wesleyan, but in the second game of the day fell 14-4 to the Cardinal Stritch Wolves.

Eastern lead-off hitter Michelle Stehman batted 6-for-6 with a walk over the course of both games. Freshman catcher Karlee Kerchersky batted 4-for-6 and crushed the Eagles' first home run this season.

Game One: Eastern 11, Iowa Wesleyan 2 (5 inn.)

Box Score

Eastern pitcher Kristen Waters earned the win against Iowa Wesleyan, striking out two batters while walking three and allowing four hits and two runs.

The Eagles picked up nine hits in the win, with all nine hits coming from three players--Stehman, Kasey Williams and Kerchersky. The Eagles scored four runs in the first, three in the second, one in the third and three in the fifth.

Kerchersky hit the Eagles' first home run of the year, leading off the fifth inning with a shot over the fence in right center.
