Weaver Gets Singles Win In Eagles' Loss

ImageORLANDO--Eastern Men's Tennis fell 8-1 against Clark University on Wednesday in their final game in Orlando.

Eastern freshman Mitchell Weaver earned the first singles win of his college career. Mitchell Weaver defeated Clark's Spencer Brightman 7-6 (7-1), 6-4.

Eagles' head coach Mark Spangler said that Weaver played a smart match and did a good job of getting to the net to close out points.

Clark improved to 6-2 this year while Eastern has only played three matches and is still looking for its first win.

Eastern plays Rosemont College at 3 p.m. on March 13.
