Eastern University's Meghan Nowak (Woodbury Heights, N.J./ Gateway Regional) was named to the D3Hoops All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team.

Junior forward Meghan Nowak was named to the All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team on Monday by D3hoops.com.

The recognition honors Nowak (Woodbury Heights, N.J./ Gateway Regional) as one of the top 15 players from the 49 teams that make up the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Nowak led the Eagles to a 14-12 (9-5 Freedom) record and the second seed in the Freedom Conference playoffs. She averaged 16.1 points per game while pulling down 8.9 rebounds per game.

Nowak crossed the 1,000-point mark for her career on November 30, 2013, at Juniata with a 26-point performance. Nowak scored a season-high 28 points on the road at Misericordia on February 12, 2014, doing so, remarkably, in just 16 minutes of play.

Nowak, the National Rookie of the Year in 2011-12, has been named to an All-Mid-Atlantic team in each of her three seasons so far.

She will return next season with 1,343 points and 711 rebounds in her career.
