Eagles Get Unexpected Frost In Virginia Tourney
ASHLAND, Va.--Eastern Women's Golf participated in its first tournament since traveling to sunny San Diego forspring break, but experienced quite the opposite weather at the Randolph Macon Invitational on Monday.
The tournament started late because of frosty greens and the second day of the tournament was ultimately canceled because of the weather.
The Eagles did not have their best day golfing and finished in seventh place. Kaleigh Boreman led the Eagles with a 98.
Eagles' head coach Jason Badecki said that even though the weather and the scores were disappointing, that the team can identify areas that they work on to get better. "It was a rough day, but a great experience for the team to get away and play a good course," he said. "Today was a good learning experience and a good challenge for us."
The Eagles will return to action on March 31 for the Muhlenberg College Invitational.Box Score
