Eagles Stopped By Colonels
Jenna Laubach and Megan Klosterman earned an 8-4 win in No. 1 doubles, defeating Wilkes’ Ally Kristofco and Ana English. Eagles’ head coach Mark Spangler said that Jenna and Megan played that match aggressively and finished well at the net.
Klosterman battled in No. 2 singles, taking the first set 6-2. She dropped the second set by the same score and came up two points short in the third set tie-breaker, 10-8.
The loss snaps Eastern’s four-game winning streak, dropping the Eagles to 6-4 this season. Wilkes improved to 11-1 with the win.
The Eagles play again on Tuesday at Bryn Athyn College and then on Wednesday at FDU-Florham.
