Eastern was led by Ryan Torresin's 76 at Bent Creek on Monday.

LANCASTER, Pa.--Eastern Men's Golf shot a 314 (+30) at Bent Creek Country Club on Monday afternoon and finished in ninth against a field of 15 teams.

Bent Creek has historically been a challenging course for the Eagles. Monday's finish is the Eagles best finish at the course in recent program history. Over the last five years, the Eagles have improved from finishing 17th with a 407 in 2010 to shooting a 347 in 2013 and then a 314 on Monday.

Eastern's Ryan Torresin shot a 76 (+5) and finished tied for 15th overall. Logan Maurer finished a stroke behind Torresin to place in a tie for 19th.

Andrew Barbin Jr. and Ethan Herr finished close behind Torresin and Maurer with a 79 and an 82.

Only six strokes separated the No. 4 through 10 teams. Messiah finished fourth overall with a 309 and Rutgers-Camden finished with a 315. Franklin and Marshall took first place at their home course with a 291.

The Eagles are scheduled to participate at the Ursinus College Invitational at Stonewall CC on Tuesday.
