Mustangs Edge Eagles 5-4

Eastern's No. 1 player Grant Williams took care of business in both singles and doubles play.

ST. DAVIDS, Pa.—Eastern Men’s Tennis fell 5-4 to the Stevenson University Mustangs on Thursday afternoon in a Freedom Conference matchup.

The Eagles dipped to 6-7 on the year and 0-4 in the Freedom Conference.

Eastern’s top two players Grant Williams and Dan Fowler were both double winners. Williams and Fowler won No. 1 doubles 8-3 and then in singles play, Williams won No. 1 singles 6-3, 6-1, and Fowler won 6-3, 6-3.

Landon Walter picked up the Eagles other match win, taking No. 4 singles 6-4, 6-0.

Eastern has three matches next week, starting with a rescheduled match against Misericordia on Monday.
