Eagles Fall To Cougars

ImageDALLAS, Pa.—Eastern Women’s Tennis fell 7-2 at Misericorida University on Monday afternoon, dropping to 3-2 in the Freedom Conference.

Jenna Laubach won in her singles and doubles matches on Monday to improve to 12-3 in both categories this season.

DALLAS, Pa.—Eastern Women’s Tennis fell 7-2 at Misericorida University on Monday afternoon, dropping to 3-2 in the Freedom Conference.

The Eagles, who have already clinched a spot in the conference playoffs, could improve their seed with a win in the remaining regular season match against King’s on Saturday.

Jenna Laubach won both matches she played in for the Eagles, winning her No. 1 singles match against Misericordia’s Cassie Foy 6-3, 6-2. Laubach, together with Megan Klosterman, took the No. 1 doubles match 8-6. Laubach and Klosterman fell behind 3-0 to start the match, but rallied for the 8-6 win. Laubach is now 11-2 this season in both singles and doubles matches.

The Eagles face Division II’s West Chester University on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. and complete the regular season at home against King’s at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
