ANNVILLE, Pa.—Eastern University junior Kaitlyn Dougherty earned a spot on the Middle Atlantic Conference's Academic All-Conference team for women’s basketball on Thursday.

Dougherty (Exton, Pa./ Downingtown East) was one of five total players from all 18 of the Middle Atlantic Conference schools to make the squad. The team is voted for by the Sports Information Directors of the MAC schools and is a selection of the top student-athletes in the conference. The recognition honors Dougherty for her play on the court and also her dedication in the classroom.

In the classroom, Dougherty has maintained a GPA of 3.6 in social work. On the court, she was named to the Freedom Conference’s Second Team this season after averaging 13.4 points per game and 3.6 assists per game.

Also named to the team were Eireann Anastasi of Delaware Valley College, Taylor Miller from Messiah College, Hannah Seely from Misericordia and Kaitlyn Yoh from Alvernia.
