DiFerdinando Bats .652 To Take POTW Honors

Eastern's Andrew DiFerdinando batted .652 with 15 RBIs to take the Freedom Conference Player of the Week honors.

ANNVILLE, Pa.--Eastern senior Andrew DiFerdinando earned Freedom Conference Player of the Week honors after batting .652 last week.

DiFerdinando (West Friendship, Md./ Marriotts Ridge) batted 15-for-23 in the six games played last week. DiFerdinando slugged .913, hitting three doubles and a grand slam home run. He had 15 RBIs, 14 in a two-game span.

DiFerdinando's play was critical to the Eagles' 14-run comeback against Lebanon Valley College on Wednesday. He batted 5-for-6 in that game with six RBIs. On Friday, DiFerdinando batted 4-for-5 with a grand slam to finish with eight RBIs.

DiFerdinando, currently working on a 10-game hit streak, will play his final collegiate game today at 3:30 p.m. at Rutgers-Camden.
