PERRY, N.Y.—Grant Ferguson, a junior attack for Eastern University Men’s Lacrosse, received national recognition on Tuesday from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association for his impressive 2014 season.

The USILA awarded Ferguson (Rochester, N.Y./ Gates Chili) an All-American Honorable Mention.

In 2014, Ferguson, was named the Freedom Conference Player of the Year and led the Eagles to a 14-5 record, to their third straight conference championship victory and to an NCAA tournament appearance.

He broke his own Eastern record for goals scored in a season by netting 62 goals in 2014. He also dished out 19 assists and corralled 44 ground balls and had seven games with five or more points. In the first game of the season, he set the tone for the rest of the year, scoring 10 points with nine goals and one assist.

With one more year to play still, Ferguson is already the Eagles' all-time leading goal scorer with 137 career goals; he passed Chris Farrar’s previous record of 99 back in March.
