Eastern Men's golf set another season mark with an impressive 304 at the Lehigh Country Club. That score  matches the second-best round in school history and put the Eagles behind only the host Muhlenberg team in the 17-team field.

Andrew Barbin Jr. led the way with a career best round of 71. The Eagles only non-freshman  got off to a rough start,  but he recovered to shoot a 3-under 32 on his second nine. He finished 4th overall in a packed field. Barbin's comeback was highlighted by three consecutive birdies on the 5th, 6th, and 7th holes. Barbin finished the round with only 28 points.

"I was really pleased with my putting and short game today," Barbin said. "It helped me to recover after shooting 39 on the front nine. It was really great to see what Brady and the other guys were able to do today as well."

Brady Erb was even through his first 10 holes with 5 consecutive pars. Though the rock-solid freshman found trouble on the 5th and 6th hole, he was able to keep a steady head to finish 3- over for the low total of his young college career.

Colin Burden and Nate Brown closed out the scoring with a pair of 80's. While both freshmen had struggles down the stretch, they were each able to keep their games together to help the team score well. Brown is enjoying a very solid freshmen campaign, with 3 of his scores being 80 or better. Burden was very good tee-to green, but he finished with 36 putts. Sean Moran finished with an 84.

"It's great to see Barbs go low," Head Coach Jason Badecki said after the round, "but it is also critical to see our young guys grinding out a score even when they are not having their best days. We need that for us to have success as a team. I am really excited for where we are with such a young squad."

The Eagles have three more tournaments this fall. They are at Bent Creek for the F & M Invitational on Oct. 17.
